Hi there!
Since my previous map (mars_wasteland) wasn't very successful due to basic gameplay issues, I decided to make a complete new map (with the same theme) instead of trying to update it any further.
I'm not sure if this one is all right yet, but I'd like to see how it plays before I spend more time on it.
Ideas and suggestions are welcome!

looks rly nice, but the most players dont like any 'dark'maps.

nice job anyway, its because of feedback that some maps gets succesfull.

i know what you mean. did you tell by the screenshots only? actually it isn't that dark ingame (except for two areas), the screenshots just make it appear that way.
imo the reactor room and underground just have to be dark. :/
(I'd prefer creating even darker maps, this is already a compromise :D)

but when there are more changes to be made i can work on the brightness, too.

I didn't know you made mars_wasteland, I have to say I really enjoyed hunting in that map, it has got different ways to get to the differnt spawns, kinda like 4way or office outbreak (which is my favourite :))

Good luck with this one, hoping it will get tested soon.

I looked at it, not sure it would do too well on the 64 slot server. I'd imagine there would be a lot of blocking and camping in the little vent things under the floor, but we could maybe test it on other servers.

I must say that you did very well, GJ :D
In my opinion there are a few things you should fix.. there are many dark places, make it brighter.


Also I do not like the valve under the tunnel, I think it would be unfair to zombies. Cts would camp there and kill many zombies...

And this "lift" is slow, it takes 30sec for it to go up and down.. Imagine yourself that people would be able to camp there and shoot 3-4 magazines before you can reach them. You could make it go up and down faster :)

Well, i think the lights are good, not dark at all :p

Also the lift, does the lift stop if you "stop" the coggwheels? :)

This version contains the following changes:
- The pipe area is bigger so 2 players can walk past each other
- The pipes can be vented once every 15 seconds causing about 30dmg to all players that are down there
- There is a vent leading into the control room (thought that spot might be unbalanced)
- There is a water slide from the teleport chamber down to the underground area (so you have a chance to escape)
- The 'lift' in the reactor room is going faster (you can jump around it btw)


btw.. it would be nice if you could edit the first post to update the DL link and screenshots .

for the people who whine about dark places ^^ stop whine, its called mars horror its supose to be bit dark spots, or are you afraid of the dark=P

Thats called giving feedback with the best intention, we all know who the whiner is ... haha
