Zombie Riot [EX V2] .. Mistakes and suggestions..

Hi.

I'd like to tell you about the gameplay on Zombie Riot [EX V2]
The server will be nice!! But if to fix it!!

1) Bots are stupid. For example yesterday I was playing on de_dust_2 = bots always coming from the one, same side .. not from the back .. and it is too boring
Make them smarter .. That will be nice if bots will attack you from all possible sides of map. Front, back and others.. They only attack you from the side that you shoot them :(

2) If I jump on some high box or car .. and will sit on the top .. bots will not reach me!! I will simply shoot them from the top .. and bots will now even attack me.
And the same with bosses .. when it is 3rd or 5th round .. and it is not interesting.
Bots should know how to jump on the top places or maps should be made without top places (positions) .. But practically every map has such top places

3) For example map cs/de_7days .. I did not remember exactly the name of map .. it is in the end of nomination vote.
There is fence / lattice on this map - and bots can not reach you at all .. they simply staying in front of you .. looking .. and can not do anything with you .. and you are simply shooting in them .. it is stupid and not funny. Delete this map .. or make corrections

4) Also yesterday in the evening I was playing on some map where was island .. Bots were coming from water .. but when they were climbed up on the hill where players were staying .. near the bridge .. bots were always falling down ! and again .. as a result they also could not reach players .. The same was boss round ..
And there was 2 sides .. from they can attacked players on the hill .. but they only came with the side from where players shooted them .. And it is boring because bots can not surround players .. My 1) written number .. It is not interesting..

Make these corrections and choose normal maps to play .. and server will be really nice!!

Hello xXXxXXx, thanks for your feedback!, somethings we cant change like what you said with the boxes i can add a anti-camp plugin but this does not help... i have created maps for this special server where you cant camp, but these maps are to hard for only one survivor. Also we cant change bot intelligence as far as I know. As last you said you want normal maps like de_dust/de_dust2, and more true??.

Hello xXXxXXx,

Bot "smartness" is considered on the difficulty level of the bots (i.e. bot_difficulty 3). You can spot by their names that they're the "hardest" bots to play against. To acknowledge your request and give zombies "more intelligence" we would have to program the bots from scratch (we would have to make an entire new script for bots) which is very, very difficult to do. You probably don't know a lot on AI scripts, but trust me, they're difficult as hell.
Regarding the camping, I particularly like it. It's an apocalypse. I've got my supplies and I'm fighting them off. I'm not going to go out in the middle of the city and let myself get surrounded by endless hordes. But, regarding this issue, Ralle can always edit the maps by, for instance, adding some sorts of ground connecting to the boosted spots, so that the zombies can walk up there.
Moving on... I think camping is necessary if there are a smaller number of players, especially with boss rounds. The boss zombies are way too fast and you can't even reload on time; by that time, they would've reached and started killing you.

Anyways, thank you for posting your feedback. We highly appreciate it.

TheRalle - Yes, you are right.

If it is not possible to make bots smarter .. It is better to delete maps with high top places where bots can not reach you (like high boxes). It is not interesting simple to stay .. and no one bot can not get you .. What is the goal/meaning of such gameplay?

Maps like de_dust_2 / cs_silent_hill will be nice :p

hey xXXxXXx, i put the standart maps on the nominate list. I have created some maps only for this server like "zm_defence,zm_defence_v2,zr_sos" there no camping places. And why i have created this server, because this server is really different from other servers, i like zombie / survival games "Garrysmod Zombie Survival" and now i put some ideas into "CSS" and look this server/mod looks amazing or?.

Yes .. this server/mod is nice .. but with normal maps .. seriously ..
Maybe it is not easy to choose good maps ..
If you want .. time to time.. I can write here what maps are good and what are bad
Recently I played on de_prodigy = nice
cs_compoud :( = fail map (I simple stayed on the roof of a small house, near the place where people appear .. and zombies could not reach me)

Thanks for your great feedback xXXxXXx, and yes do that let show us what you think about the maps and we look. You can post other maps from gamebanana too, that we can then upload on the server.

De_Prodigy is the most realistic map that I have played on this server
Because zombies were everywhere and they did not stuck anywhere. When people shoot in zombies from one side, they came from the back side (it was not so on de_dust2). And it was cool :) Zombies even climbed up on the roof of the house on the bomb place.
Maybe that was because there was a ladder / stairs? I think so..
When it was a boss round on this map – Boss zombies climbed on the ladder / stairs, near the ct’s (people) spawn. So zombies were everywhere .. and it was very cool ))

But not all so cool as it seems :(
Next map was cs_compoud
1) As I already said it is a fail map .. Because most part of a team was camping (not moving) on the top places. It was boring and not interesting. Zombies could not reach people and did not notice me.

If you want to make a real survival and nice server – you should delete such maps

2) When it was 12 players on the server – the gameplay was not interesting too, because of too much people on the server. It was not survival.
When it was a boss round .. there were 6 boss zombies (I remembered) .. and 12 players ..
People killed all boss zombies for about 2 minutes. Round starts at 9:00 (9 minutes) .. it was ended in about 7 minutes.
And it was not interesting to kill bosses because too much people were hunting on them .. Bosses even could not reach us, because of too many shots in them.

And the same situation with usual zombies (not boss) .. When it was Day 4/6 – it was 220+ zombies and 11 survivors.. People killed all zombies for about for 3:30 minutes. The day was started at 9:00 and finished at 5:30. This is also not survival. Every round should be 9 minutes .. and that will be survival.

So now it is not so interesting to play on server. My decisions for problems:

First Decision: 1) To make this server only for 10 people (10/10) – it is the best number for interesting gameplay. When it is more than 10 people on the server - it becomes not interesting.

Or

2) second decision:

If it is NOT more than 10 people on the server – For one round: 300 zombies / 6 boss zombies
10-19 people: (x2) 600 zombies / 12 boss zombies
20-29 people: (x3) 900 zombies / 18 boss zombies
30-39 people: 1200 zombies / 24 boss zombies
40-49 people: 1500 zombies / 30 boss zombies
50-59 people: 1800 zombies / 36 boss zombies
59-64 people: 2100 zombies / 42 boss zombies

!!! And if it is more than 10 people on the server – you should make zombies to revival for example NOT 10 after 10 (I don’t know (the number) how much is it now) .. - 10 zoombies died and 10 revival after death ..
But for example if it is 10+ people = zombies revival: 20 after 20 || 20+ people = zombies revival: 30 after 30 etc.

If it will not be so, the gameplay will not be interesting + also delete fail maps (with high top places)

About new maps from gamebanana, good maps and bad maps now on the server – maybe I will write here, but I think not with so much details .. I want you to make a nice server :)

Anti-camp plugin maybe +, but I think it will not help very much.

The server now is not popular.
If my work is interesting for you .. And you want me seriously to help you - I'd like to be admin on this server .. That will be easier for me to test maps, not by "nominate" and "rtv" - But by simply changing them.
I will find you good maps instead of fail maps.

first of all thank you for your maps and your suggestions aswell.
But Elitehunterz won't contact you, because if you want adminrights on any of our servers, you have to post an admin-application over our forms.
If you want adminrights on EH-2 then you have to apply for it and you would get adminrights for the other elite-hunterz zombiemod servers.
If you want to apply just press admin-application button on the navigation-bar which you can see as marked on my picture.

Hi i am currently not in Switzerland and cant help you till the 11th. Whe will not add admins on a singular server just to change maps. We can provide you with a way of doing it tho.
