Hey, I'm back with a new map for your consideration! This time it is zm_cornerstone. It is a 64 player supporting, medium ish sized map. It's a straightforward, classic style zm map (no craziness, secrets etc).


Due to a SSD swap; I unfortunately don't have the filers for the map I had submitted earlier this year. So, after getting back into some zm, I started from scratch and now bring you this map instead.

A door or an entrance would be good in this place because you can't get out

it might be too difficult to get to the cts. Maybe raise the fence or not climb the fence

You can only get to the box through the fence and you can't get to it from below

With an RB you would definitely get to the fence and when I jump in that direction I see something bright, I just can't identify what it is.

but otherwise the map looks good

For the first image, the crate to the left has a wooden ladder attached to it for an exit out.

For the second image, there's two ways up to that area. Either from the crates in your image, or the larger crate on the outside of that fenced in area.

For the third image, that was deliberate. I am assuming it will be easy enough to get onto the crate on the other side of the pebble road and jump to that crate, or jump on the fence then to that crate. Would have to see how this one plays out for sure.

For the fourth image, that was just decoration basically. Instead of just having the building the crates are on run into the next one and just be an open area.

judging from the screenshots you provided the map looks good and the spots look original. nice to see a new map and not a remake of a popular map.
 
Hey, nice work. Map looks very clean and I'm sure people will automatically like it more just because it looks like cbble (texture wise).
Very curios to see how it plays out on the server
 
Hey mate,map looks good.

All I am really worried about is this crouch spot in the underground area:

It is best advised to avoid these kind of spots because:
1) It creates an unfair spots for the humans to hold.
2) It creates lags for the whole server due to the amount of people bunching up into it.

Thanks all for the kind words and feedback so far!

For that crouch spot, my hope is its limited size (and fairly wide opening, after the crate and barrels are destroyed) will make it a fair spot that wouldn't cause issues.

I would suggest changing the clipping in this corner of the map, you can get stuck in the corner I'm looking at here and there's nothing to show that will happen without having the clips showing. I don't know if there is a reason for these clips here but you should either remove them or extend them to the edge of the boxes instead

You may also want to consider clipping off these windows as you can jump onto all of them since there is a small ledge sticking out to stand along

Thank you! Clipped off the mentioned areas in the latest version.

Just waiting for any play test feedback on the previously mentioned areas/any more that could use attention before I share a v2.

May as well post the update and then I can upload that to the servers. Not much point to upload something when we know it will be replaced by another version anyway
 
Understood.

This version has the clipping suggestions from earlier, as well as having the one fence area ღ Zicke ღ had mentioned in their post raised up some so it doesn't look like a camp area instead of the decoration it is.
