Server Zombie Hunting V3

Description
We were playing Dust 2, this is a map where zombies spawn and immediately kill half of the team because there is NOWHERE to hide. Most of the team already went through the doors at "Long A", I turn around and start shooting barrels to block the door and any zombies that might spawn there. There were some humans still coming through, they could shoot the barrels or jump over them if they needed.

This admin freezes me and says I can't set up a barricade at the door. When I said that's abuse, he slayed me.

I already noticed on the previous map (Prison Tower) that this admin is over-moderating; he is spamming "no insults" every minute and he drugged another player.

I have no demo, you can easily check the logs though. I was very kind to people in chat until this admin abused his powers. I've been playing your servers for maybe 10 years, it's normally very relaxing. The best admins let people play, not intervene because it feels good to wield power.

Reporting an abuse is a serious matter. Do you hold all the proofs requested for an abuse request? No

If you guys need video in order to deal with admin abuse, that's a shame. Server logs will confirm some of what I have written.

Hey Gridrid,

welcome to our forum.

I turn around and start shooting barrels to block the door and any zombies that might spawn there.
You described the situation very well. There were no zombies. You shot props into teammates and blocked them, which is forbidden.

This admin freezes me and says I can't set up a barricade at the door. When I said that's abuse, he slayed me.
I would have burned you anyway, because you killed your teammates. It was not because of your reply.

I already noticed on the previous map (Prison Tower) that this admin is over-moderating; he is spamming "no insults" every minute and he drugged another player.
Yes I warn players, if they break the chat rules.
TEG asked for a beacon and i drugged him for 5 seconds, then beaconed him as he wanted, he even laughed about it. Nice try.

Dhoudz, you are the type of person who should not be admin, that's my opinion. You enjoy admin abilities too much, have a god complex.

I considered whether I'd bother making this report as nothing is likely to come from it. I decided I'd make the report anyway because I really don't like bullies.

Other admins can look up my Steam username "Grigridw", I have a Grigridw username on this forum from years ago that I cannot access. I think I was asking for more maps.

There are plenty of maps where people set up barricades at the start of the round, maybe 50% of maps! As I mentioned, Dust2 has no hiding places and you can jump over barrels.

I used your servers for probably over 10 years but I'm not coming back on principle. I really dislike bullies!

You are free to have your opinion. In my opinion you are overreacting.
You broke a simple rule "Dont shoot props into teammates", therefore you got punished. Thats it.

You are allowed to shoot the props in the doorways and build a barricade to block zombies. But in the first 15 seconds of dust2, there are no zombies, just teammates.
I have experienced it alot myself, with 15+ players going that way, its not that easy to just "jump over barrels", especially when they move.

If you don't want to play anymore because of this one situation, that's a shame, but then that's how it is.

Hello, thank you for your report. I have reviewed the situation based on both statements and the server rules.

We don't like bullies either. We also don't like behaviour that ruins other players’ game experience – such as teamkilling, blocking, destroying barricades, or other unfair actions. That is why we have many admins who work hard to keep our servers fair and free from disruptive behaviour and cheating. Can you imagine that you had been the bully in this situation for all this players who were behind you? I am asking because I would have felt bullied by you if I was one of them.

According to our rules, it is illegal to block other players’ way or to shoot props into them to prevent them from escaping, moving, or playing. The only exception is building a barricade to hold a valid camp spot – which does not mean blocking an entire map area, blocking critical pathways, or blocking players at round start. As you already mentioned, there is no camp spot on Dust2, so you basically have no chance to build a legal barricade there at the beginning of the round:
We were playing Dust 2, this is a map where zombies spawn and immediately kill half of the team because there is NOWHERE to hide
This already indicates you knew that each second on Dust2 is important to reach a better position (like A Long), join your teammates, and survive the first seconds. Shooting props into the only way that leads to a popular gathering point like A Long is nothing but unfair towards all players who are behind you. If someone faster than you had shot those props into you and you got stuck for a second or two and died because of this – would we now be talking about a ban request? Or would it still be an abuse report (“Dhoudz isn’t doing his job, I got teamkilled and he ignored it” - we've seen those kind of reports in the past already)?

Additionally, you mentioned:
Most of the team already went through the doors at "Long A"
“Most of them” means there were still players trying to move through the doors. You prevented those players from reaching the spot in time, endangering them to be killed or infected.

Conclusion:
Dhoudz warned you, Dhoudz punished you – and as an admin, he is expected by the SPA/HA team to act exactly as he did. In fact, he is obliged to do so according to our rules.

Try to imagine yourself in his position or in the position of players that were behind you. From that perspective, it should be clear that your actions in this situation were not fair.
