Just to be sure. The arma 2 game itself cost some money, does the mod you guys play also cost money?

And how do you guys play together? Is it server based?

The mod doesn't cost anything, you need both arma and arma 2 to play the mod though. I recommend you to buy combined operations which is cheaper.
It's server based yeah, we call each other on skype or w/e and play, it could be hard to find each other at the beginning but just use a map in your browser and read signs and you should be allright.

I found a nice script for this game xd i can spawn every item in the game right into my inventory :S so no more sneaking around and looking for loot.
Und its kinda legit :S
