Hi guys, there is another player using my name on the hunting servers, and has been for the last few days. I would not normally care about this, but apparently he is blocking, door closing, and insulting and trying to ruin my name so that when I DO play, people think I am him. I have had several people block me and then say its "payback" for blocking them.. but it wasn't me (I don't ever block), it was this imposter.

name of the player: k00z (but he is using my name - volraider)

which server: hunting v1
why: impersonation and trying to get people mad at me by breaking rules
when: last few days to a week
proof: sorry, no proof except chatlogs below, he only uses my name when I'm not in the server

Hey volraider, i know this faker, i was with you in the server when he changed the name. Sadly, we cant ban him only for using your name, but we can ban him for blocking, raging, etc... So next times he's playing spec him and do a little demo or take some pics to show us, anyways i know that this fake volraider isn't you so don't worry :p. Try to talk with him, or whatever you want, but without breaking any rule.

Does it matter that he has admitted he's doing it to troll me?

Deanburger kicked him and told him to change his name once (ty dean). When the faker and I are both in the server, can I ask an admin to kick him to make him change his name? Could maybe a HA or SA comment on this?
 
What exactly have you done to him?

I think we need HA input in regards to what can be done about it.

Normaly we dont take actions on such things like this...
 
As I said, we need HA input to see if anything can be done since I'm personally not sure.
 
had same problem with a name faker on v3, didnt take action since I don't know if it's allowed or not. Let me know what you guys decide.
 
If anyone copies another players name with the intention to annoy or troll another player then it can be classed as disrupting gameplay as he is clearly harrasing you which means you cant play on our servers without worrying about fools like him.

An admin is free to ban him for name name faking.

Its silly to be honest - he attempted to block me on the jump to a cbble camping spot and I jumped around him, and then he fell off the camping spot. So I made fun of him by calling him a failblocker and noob and such. A few maps later he pissed off another couple of guys and I brought up his failblocking, and he rejoined as me (I had a <music> tag in my name at the time).
 
Hey guys, sorry to bump this again.. but the faker did not learn his lesson after his ban, and is trying to use my name again. I even asked him to change his name, and told him that I would post here if he didnt... and he ignored me except to ask "what do you mean?".

Can you possibly ban him again?
