Hei Smardles,
We appreciate reporting cheaters and rule breakers, but we accept only .dem files and in-game screen shots as evidence.
If you have a dem. file with this player, please upload it here so we can handle the case.

Hey,

No i dont have a dem file.. Not sure waht that is to be honest, just did a screen caputre, thought that would be evidence enough. Hopefully we just dont see him back on the server. Cheers.

.dem file is the file extension used for a demo recording in css. in other words you can record the gameplay happening through the game itself and not a third party program capturing your game. To record a demo you need to:

-have the console enabled
-then simply write "record <demoname>" to record the demo and then "stop" to save it.

To activate the console:

-open steam
-go to your library
-right-click css there
-select properties
-in the window that opened, type into the startoptions "-console"
-open the game it should be right there at the start screen (bind it to a key with "bind <key> toggleconsole")

Its the only acceptable evidence for a lot of cases (sadly) because it cant be edited/manipulated (i think) and it has a lot of other features, like being able to view the POV of other players and fly around like in spectator mode.

Hope this answers your question to your 'whats a .dem file' question. (Even though in my humble opinion, i think a demo recording on an alleged aimbotter could look so scuffed and unintelligible compared to the 60 fps of your clip ._.)
