Thank you. Things might have changed but few years ago the suggestion by nikoo and others were to issue bans for at least 12-24 hours for reports. Mainly because otherwise it is very likely that the person might not even realize he/she got banned.
And I highly doubt that he realizes a 45 minutes ban so early in the morning :-D
In that case maybe it's also a good idea to inform him also that he got a ban for door spam.

It could be nice to have the possibility to inform the player on the ban, but that will require a forum account and that the player is also active on the forum.
As for the length of the ban, that is accordingly to the players ban history (it says so in the rules).

Reminds me of an old feature that was once in discussion: In-Game notifications to a player when he got recently banned ;-)

Thant's actually not a bad idea, when the player connects to the server a pop up message can inform the player that a ban was issued due to braking of rules.
