Need help with hammer

Hey i was wondering if somebody could help me.

I am trying to learn how to create maps, but for some reason hammer wont load.


When i open source SDK i can choose the following engines:

Source engine 2006
Source engine 2007
Source engine 2009
Source engine MP

So i'm pretty sure you need to select source engine 9, however when i click it and run hammer it says that no game configuration to run with.
I have tried to refresh SDK content, and reset game configuration, still not working.

And if i select Source engine MP i can enter hammer, but i cant test the maps ingame..

How did you try to run the maps ingame?

Used the test map function inside hammer. I get an error that says something like "The following file was not found (steam/steammaps/Username/Counter-strike Source/CStrike/Maps/MapName.bsp
However i can test maps if i open up someone else ma

Ah, I thought you were talking about testing them ingame via css? Then I would have said that you need to compile it first.
