Hi, I’ll try to keep this short. Someone blocked me and I died, which made me angry, and I told the person “fu slut.” Because of that, I was gagged for two weeks without any warning. I understand that I have previous gags and that I know the rules, but for a server that allows porn sprays, a two-week gag feels excessive for what I said. I don’t have demo proof, but this should be fully visible in the chat logs.

Reporting an abuse is a serious matter. Do you hold all the proofs requested for an abuse request? No

At some point there wont be any more warnings, because it does not seem to have any effect.

Gags usually increase in time, so your next will likely be 1 month, then 2 months and so on. You are a few gags away from a permanent gag.

My advise, take a deep breath, report rulebreakers in adminchat and play on.
If we dont see the player blocking you, we cant punish him. Insulting him doesnt change anything.

I dont see any abuse.

I understand I have prior gags (7 of foul language) and that punishments escalate for repeat offenders. I’m not denying that.

What I’m questioning is whether the severity of the offense is being considered. Treating all insults the same means even minor comments can lead to very long gags purely because of history. Calling someone a “noob” or “stupid” is technically an insult too, but it’s clearly not on the same level as things like this guy, who made rape or death threats, which here only received a gag of 2 hours.

You mentioned that gags usually increase in duration, which makes it sound like it isn’t a strict rule but more of a guideline. With that in mind, I feel a two-week gag is excessive for this case.

Given the severity of my comment, I believe a warning would have been more appropriate before issuing an instant gag.


Next time, I'll try to punch my desk a bit harder instead of insulting players.

Smaller insults as you mentioned USUALLY dont get punished. That's not a free pass, you can also be punished for it.

Crazy that you found that abuse report. Yes that punishment should have definitely been longer as Lotus also said, i was still new as an admin.

The only reason for a shorter gag than the last would be a long time inbetween those gags. Thats not the case here.
And before you search for other examples, sometimes admins forget to adjust the given banlength in sourcebans.

Do not just report an admin because you don't like them or because they banned you, only submit an abuse report if admins are truly abusing their power and/or position as an admin.

There's no abuse, it's an admin doing his admin job like he is expected to dp.

If you want to challenge the lenght or the decision you'll in the wrong section, you should go here next time.

I guess it's a good idea to try not to get tilt too quickly in online gaming. Try to be the mature dude if you get provoked. If calmness doesnt help, call an admin for help or if nobody is around take a screen (for insults/provoking) or record a demo (for rulebreaking) and open a ban or gag request.
