Hello I have been playing in here for a long time now. I have seen many players and admin´s doing their job to perfection. But that said...... How can it be that if you destroy barriacdes, teamkill or even teaming up with humans for knifing zombies into other humans the only punishment is "Freeze / burn"....

I 100% feel like wasting all my time trying to help and save people and die by it for others to just go around and teaming up. If this is the case I can´t see any reason to be the nice guy anymore.

Admins: We freeze them and if they do it again they will get another punishment..... Hell yea like the same guy does it 10 times and still get freezed.

Please do something more about it.... If it keeps going like this my friends and I will find somewhere else to play.

By the way its almost impossibel to record it when you are fighting the zombies. I tried many times but again the punishment is not even close to worth the time.

Best regards Narkaz

you don't have to be recording specifically when that happens, you could simply bind a key to start and stop a demo, or continuously record a demo.

I think the fact that some rulebreakers only get warned while committing the offense many times is probably anecdotal, because we have thousands of players that received bans. However it might be happening, it's hard to both enjoy the game and also watch 63 other players, so some instances will definitely be missed.

Also it's worth noting that if we directly banned players for first time infractions we'd run out of players pretty fast. This is not battlefield 6 or the new COD, we rely on a very very small population of players, we need to weigh in our options when trying to teach our player base how to respect our rules.

While it's easy to criticize (and I welcome it), it's also easy to miss the amount of effort that goes in keeping this community up and running. For example, Woozu has left you a like, probably agreeing with you, however he's the prime example of dedication, as I personally spent almost a year working on his specific case which led him being able to play on our servers again. I'd love to see EA spend more than a couple of seconds on a ban appeal on one of their AAA games.

Hopefully you understand our position, but feel free to continue catching rulebreakers and reporting them on the forum, we will continue to deliver punishments if we believe it serves a purpose and it benefits the community.

Best regards,
Niko

Thanks for the lovely answer!
I know that its hard for the admins and to be honest I like all the admins! But I just feel like a freeze is nothing give them a kick or something like that. The only problem I see is that its mostly the same players that does it, the biggest problem is that I see admins give the rulebreakers a chance and OFC they should have it but the sec the admin is gone they do it again and the next admin give them a warning again. It keeps going like that :/

I know that the admins are doing their job and its not them Im after at all! I just hope that the punishment will be a little harder than a freeze.

again thanks for answer and I hope all the admin will keep their job as they do its nice to have them around :)

I appreciate the point of view.
My answer to that would be to please help us: if you know that a few of those players are like that, it's even more important that you record a demo and report them, we're happy to pop their kneecaps if they abuse the fact that they were given a chance to do better and blew it as soon as the admin(s) left.

I'd maybe also state my stance on this topic and why i agree/somewhat agree, or atleast relate with what Narkaz said.

Im a strong believer in warning people before any punishment happens. I have been banned a lot of times falsely, even on servers where they knew me. What happens is that im suddenly excluded and interrupted from playing the game, having to go to their forum, login/create an account and make an unban request. All that, only to be unbanned 5 mins later. "oh it was you, you had another name so we didnt realize, sry", while all that could have been avoided by admins recording their evidence, and then confront or in other cases inform the player of their rulebreak. Atleast 10 of my false bans would have never happened if i was warned/informed of what the admins are seeing and if i had gotten the chance to explain myself.
Thats how i personally see it, and i myself would apply it to pretty much all cases, cheaters, racial slurs, teaming etc.

While i think that warnings are important, i view them as a purpose to inform players of the specific rule they broke on their first occurence. "Dont team", and now its clear. if you are caught again, i personally would ban them on the second occurence for a day or so (they should be told beforehand that its a day long punishment). If there is a repetition, give them the month and they can go to forum to appeal, if they care enough to play, properly. You might stand next to a helpless ct who is reloading, soamming their flashlight and crouching or whatever and hesitate infecting them a bit, maybe stand around for 10 seconds before infecting. but there is a big difference between something like that which deserves a warning, and something that disrupts and ruins gameplay for others, like actively knifing them into a spot, or destroying a cade.
Murderers, i have never thought about genuinely killing somebody, but people did, and people even acted it out. I think more or less the same about some basic server rules. if i know them and care about the server because i want to play, i will behave. and if you dont behave, your attitude is either like that permanently or temporarily at the moment, and it might take a bit till you change. I dont think ive ever been banned for disrupting gameplay ever, on any server.

Communication is key, mercy for the first rulebreaks are forgiving and wont negatively give them frustration when they werent fully aware of the rules and get the helpless scenario of getting burned... and frozen...

Just my view, because i genuinely cant relate how you 'accidentally' collect 6 bans for teaming/knifing zombies, or chatmutes

Ps: and thank you, Niko🫶

Edit: if that entire idea/stance is implementable and generally agreeable to everyone, definitely not, but maybe it gives another, decent perspective
