Hi all,

I got a little problem, maybe you guys can help. I tried to connect to the server after I updates my Fritzbox last night. I cannot connect to any of the EliteHunter servers. I am not banned. I can connect to other servers no problem. Any idea where I should look?

Hi,

What is the error message?

Error message: Connection failed after 4 retries. No additional Information. Not even in the console.

Here is one more Info to make things even stranger: If I go to my Fritzbox router and connect via LAN, everything works fine. If I connect via Wifi, which I need due to my desk being one floor down, I cannot connect again. I checked all security settings I could find for WiFi, but nothing strange is there...

Can you turn the windows CMD on, and do "tracert 37.187.142.159"?

You can turn it on by: Alt+WinKey, type in "cmd" and hit enter.

I forgot to mention: I can ping you just fine. Just not connect to your server. Below is the tracert output. Thanks for looking into this.

Check for any port filtering on your router.

I'd also try this if you're desperate. Find out what IP address you get from the wireless connection that lets you join the servers, then use that IP as a static address on your LAN card and see if that works.

please click this and see if you can connect:
steam://connect/37.187.142.159:27015

Does not do anything. Starts connecting to the server, but nothing happens. Bypassing DNS (see below) has no effect neither.

No port filtering on my router. LAN works, wireless does not work. It does not matter which IP I get or if I disable DHCP alltogether and set my IP manually. I can set whichever DNS server I want (ISP, Google, OpenDNS), empty my DNS cache and still nothing.
