Ban/Gag reason Rasicm + insulting other players

Desired outcome Lift my punishment

Statement of grounds
I’d like to appeal the gag/mute I received on 11/06/2026 from RXT loves emo girls.

The stated reason was that I insulted other players and/or made racist comments.

I’m asking to see the exact evidence for this, because as far as I’m aware, I did not insult anyone or say anything racist.

I understand that I may have annoyed or triggered people by typing a lot of asterisks *. However, I was not given any warning about this being considered spam or disruptive before the gag/mute was applied. I also stopped using the * once Salem told me that people were assuming negative things from it.

But as far as i'm aware this is not against the rules?

Thanks.

Hi Sexobeast

Regarding the insulting. Using asterisks isnt specifically stated in the rules but can be clearly misread and misunderstood by others. For example by writing "2026-06-11 16:03:56 - shikaka you ** **** ****." you clearly haven't got anything nice to say as you wouldn't of "censored" your own message and why even use them in the first place?

Now the more severe part. You clearly left a few key letters in your message and anybody reading the message understood it as being a racist remark as told to you by salem and other players at the time. If you wish to view the message you can view it here - https://stats.elite-hunterz.info/hlstats.php?mode=chathistory&player=1625635&page=1

Just because you didnt directly write anything your intentions are obvious.

So for that reason the gag stays. Also the next racism gag in the future will be permanent.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply and for showing the logs.

I understand how the use of asterisks could be misread or taken negatively, especially if people assumed I was censoring insults or something racist. However, that was not my intention.

I was mainly playing around with asterisks because I know I’m not allowed to insult people. My intention was to avoid actually saying anything rule-breaking, not to secretly make racist remarks or insult players. I understand now that this still created confusion and looked bad, but the gag seems to be based mostly on assumptions about what I meant, rather than something I actually wrote.

I also want to point out that I have never said anything racist or race-related before, so I don’t think it is fair to assume that was my intention here.

Once Salem told me that people were assuming negative things from the asterisks/letters, I stopped using them. I also was not warned by an admin before the gag/mute was applied.

I also think this sets a bad precedent. If admins can issue gags for insulting based mainly on interpretation or assumptions, then almost any censored or unclear message could be punished as an insult, even if no actual insult was written.

Now that I know this can be misunderstood and is not something I should do, I won’t repeat using asterisks while playing around with people.

Could this please be reconsidered or reduced?

Thanks.

Hi again,

Sure the insulting could be seen as a little strict and i would've warned you to stop before issuing a gag.

However as stated before the racist remark you made cannot be looked over. By you leaving a few key letters in your message made it clear as day that was your intention.

A SPA/HA has closed this case and the decision is final.

You keep saying that I used or intended a racist slur, but there was no racist word written. Like I said before, I have never made racist remarks before, so I don’t understand why it is being assumed that this was my intention now.

Also, the word I assume you think I meant does not match the amount of characters I used in the logged message. So I don’t think it is fair to treat this as “clear as day” evidence of racism when the text does not match the accusation.

Again, once Salem told me that people were taking it negatively, I stopped using the asterisks. That shows I was not trying to continue offending anyone. From my point of view, it feels like the situation escalated because Shikaka kept pushing for me to be punished, even after I had already stopped.

Like I said before, I was just playing around with asterisks while trying not to break the rules or directly insult anyone. Now that I know this can be interpreted badly and lead to this kind of punishment, I won’t use asterisks like that again.
