[online] zm_floating_rock_redux

1. Name of the map is way to long, keep it shorted to like zm_floating_rock_edit or something like this, ive seen errors happend when map names are to long dont ask me why it happends but it does.
Yes, I was planning to change it in the final version ^^

2. https://gyazo.com/09afd486c2c9d477ea7f8716592970f4 The floating rocks seem abit to high elevated, i would lower them so ct's dont get a "high" ground it will be easy for the ct's to defend then.
I am not sure about this, there are few RB spots for zombies from high places (I have changed a bit the map in the beta version so it will be easier for RB), if lowering the rocks it will be a 100% success chance for zombies, I guess we need to test it first(?)
4. https://gyazo.com/101065a27d46ed96bcca2741fb14849f Texture not fitted and also i think having 3 ways into this spot ruins the whole spot and makes it useless, i would keep it 2 ways.
Also here, it could be bad or good I think the best is to test it first.

Aight, the map is ready for testing ^^

TASKS DONE:


  • Tunnels from both sides.
  • A few additional optimizations to improve overall gameplay
  • New look for the tunnel.
  • Bridge directly to the main spot.
  • Add a ramp for RB to the main spot. [ Could not think about something since there are already few high spots to RB from, I placed few trees there to make it easy for zombies to RB without being easily spotted. if still will be hard for zombies I'll lower the rocks as Sour metioned. ]
  • Additional TP spots.
Edit: Forgot to turn off HDR configuration, the sky might be a bit brighter - I'll change it in the final version.

I tried your actually version in singleplayer, there was 2 bugs, should fix it easy

"Invalid terrorist spawnpoint at (-1509.0,92.0,92.0)
Invalid terrorist spawnpoint at (1702.7,65.0,65.0)
Invalid terrorist spawnpoint at (1734.7,65.0,65.0)"

and if u trying to create a ladder just use the ladder texture

"Attempted to create unknown entity type info_ladder!"

Seems like I forgot to delete two info_player inside the tunnels when I compared the height of the tunnel to the height of the models.

"Invalid terrorist spawnpoint at (-1509.0,92.0,92.0)" About this one I am not sure, seems like a bug from the last version. I located it by coordinates and raised it a bit away from the ground - probably collider bug(?) hope it fixed.

Hmmm this one is probably a bug from the last version, ill fix it in the final version. I don't think it should affect the gameplay for now.

Nope, that is not my map version, that's the old floating rock.

I seriously don't know how it's even possible to get there, the whole bottom is covered by teleporters hmm.

Do you use a prop to get there?
 
of course not i didnt use prop to get there it just was bug and "Me" and "HANSel" cant do that same

i used 2 bugs yesterday "zombiereloaded" plugins
after cts kill zombie and that zombie will spawn as cts right?
and while spawning there is 7 sec spawnprotection time too
but yesterday while i was playing zombiereloaded plugins was bugged and i used it
i spawned as cts but while i spawning another zombie already killed me and spawnprotection time was not working at that time as cts but working as zombie side
while wearing spawnprotection (cts cant shoot u) time i killed many campers

Just as a short update:
According to current stats the old map had a balance of 3,7 while this new map has a balance of 2,4. So that's obviously an improvement. Nevertheless the map hasn't been played that often yet so I wouldn't consider these stats to be very reliable yet. We may need some more time to see if it stay's this way. ;-)
 
map is online, we are collecting data and see wether the latest versions can be used in future.
 
Well that one big camp spot is still an issue because we not just have more ways but also more rocks/isles than before. Therefore more humans can camp there. Guess the paths need to be shorter or the camping area even smaller...
 
As Dataworm mentioned the floating rocks are pretty issue, I suggest lowering them to give zombies a chance to RB and maybe removing one rock there so the whole CTS team couldn't rep around there.

And as sad it will be I think the splitting tunnels idea needs to go. I don't find any reason how it improve the gameplay, humans are getting rekt there, it is impossible to survive there as far as I remember from previous gameplays.

I guess we will need to wait for the final results before talking about it.
 
Hi The Bear Jew!
Just ran into a little problem with this map. As a human (ct) I landed on these chairs which brought me to my death :) My HP was 100.
What could be the problem ? And can it be fixed?
