Server fatal error

Hello,
Sorry but the server suffered from a fatal error.

I stood up all the night long to recover possible data and reinstall.
i'm sorry but few hours of forum posts are gone, not a big deal tho i guess.

I'm going to sleep now, report me if you see any mega-weird error.

BTW:

stats
sourcebans
glass_war

are not currently working and i am aware of that

oh boy, i'd rather die instead of using windows server.

anyway no, server lagged, i restarted it, it didn't restart.
i started it in rescue mode, i mounted the drives to check the logs, logs were fine, i closed the shell and reopened it, i forgot the disks were mounted, i told the system to do a checkdisk, it warned me it would damage the server if disks were mounted (in german which i didn't understand) i pressed "j" for "ja", everything was like moved in to "lost+found" which is like the recycle bin in windows. i had to recover all the data manually using many tricks and store them into a second server, reinstall (which took 5 hours) and setup (not finished yet).


btw stats sourcebans and glass_war are ok now

lol, when i read niko's message, I was thinking exactly the same.
My win2008r8 server at home has never had a fatal error (fortunately)

PS: Niko, how good is your German?

it's not good but it's not bad aswell, but the message of yesterday was too complicated for me to understand and a translation to english didn't make much more sense.

also working with windows server is definitely a bad thing, i mean, it's not as flexible and supported as linux...

I asked and what i understood was:

Danger, if the disk are mounted it will corrupt the data,
anyway i was certain the disks weren't mounted, but they were.
