Hey ThirtyEight, If the fps gets to heavy i got loads of tricks to get it down. Since i have been mapping for around 5 years and always been careful
with the fps i have been learning alot. Don't worry about the fps it will be fine
Hay Guys! just wanted to tell you about the (fps) stuff.
Alot of mappers think that the fps is what matters in your map. But it is actually a bit wrong.
This is how you should check if your map will lag or not...
Type (Net_Graph 1) this will enable a new window with alot of information about your fps and such.
Under Fps is a thing called In and thats what's matter...
100 IN = Very good
300 IN = Little Laggy
600 IN = Very Laggy
And i can tell you that i got an average of 70 fps and 75 IN, Hope you learnd something new! Cya
Here is three different lightnings that you can choose from for my map.
I can say that i love the bright lightning with the sun, the other lightnings is dark and boring in my opinion!
BRIGHT
DARK
VERY DARK
Wich one do you want! and Geo the source engine cant have 2 light_enviroment in the same map, so it wont work with night/day map, maybe with color correction
but it's just fake and if you guys want VERY DARK i will add light posts to the sides of the streets, CHEERS
Note: Probably add another skybox if its going to be dark aswell
