V3 changelog
There have been several more changes in the last couple of weeks!
Let's see if I can recall them.
- you're yet again allowed to see radio messages in chat by using sm_toggleradio (or /toggleradio)
- the !resetscore plugin now lets you reset your score when dead
- vips should no longer see dead/spec people's chat. It was an admins only feature. That said I'm likely going to just allow everyone to see those chats in the future
- rejoining will automatically land you a warning, however if you were dead or in spectator team while rejoining, you're no longer warned for it (as it's allowed). Additionally, admins won't have to manually warn you for rejoining, the automated warning will serve as your only heads up.
- Admins only: when a player rejoins, you'll see how long ago they disconnected, which team they were part of, how many HPs they had and why they disconnected. You no longer have to scroll through the chat to find that information.
Side work
While those are minimal improvements, I've been relentlessly working on reinstalling V3 on the side. And while I don't want to spill the beans yet, trust me when I say that it's going to be quite a game changer!
Stay tuned, and definitely join us on

About the bots...
Some late night players might have noticed that starting Thursday last week we have added bots to V3.
This is currently a test. We don't want to fool anyone into thinking that they're playing against real people, we don't disguise them with fake ping or fake names, nor do we inflate our player numbers in the server browser like virtually all the other servers do.
This is merely a way to give players a purpose to stay on the server and continue playing the objective even when there are less than 15 players available.
How does it work?
When less than 15 players are actively playing, bots are added to reach the threshold. (if 12 players are active, 3 bots will join too)
When more players join the game, bots will leave when the round ends.
Human bots are on their easiest difficulty, They still have aimbot-like aim, so they definitely pose a challenge for zombies
Zombie bots are
locked-in as they will
always target the human closest to them, no matter what. They are unable to jump on most camping boxes and have troubles navigating complex maps, but will nonetheless pose a real threat to humans trying to actively hunt them, and an appetizing meal for the autosniper campers.
Bots do not reward rank points.
So far, the test has been extremely successful as the server hasn't gone empty ever since. However I'll continue monitoring reactions and statistics before making this change permanent.
