Well hello,

ive got a question. so funny server with a funny mod, good configuration and good website with many gimmicks.
only one thing makes worry. the highpingers. pings above 200, yesterday with more than 300ms, today 497ms.

is it possible to autokick HPLs?
pings restricted in maximum of 150 or 120ms are high enough.
today for example, 1 player with 500ms, rest i seen under 100ms and this one makes the begin of round to a 10fps show.

Niko dosen't seem to care about this but it is true that you can see lagg on that person itself.

I suggest we implicit the limit of 150 ping but that would mead salem would have trouble playing so we will have to set immunity for pings for our members and admins.


I think thats quite some work to do... so i dunno..
 
150ms is an good option, and protection for members n admins also.
in this moment comes 1 player with a ping of more than 400ms, since this moment the map is how playing Crysis in high details with a geforce 6200 :)
i moved really onto the same corner at 6 times, round start was a diashow, i was running and running and running - only i moved at the same startplace :-(
how with plumb in shoes :D
only i hope this is an option, when im watching from where are the HPL - saudi arabia, brasilia, japan, south korea. gamers from so far far away wanna playing here, thats cool. and the most daily and weekly come back gamers suffer...
the upper end of the most players are under 150ms, and this some with very high ping (most times between 1 to 4) are possible for highping disconnect i thinked

the problem is, the server want to fixing the transmission for all players together, and the slowest is the border. its a part of the netcode and regular a very fine thing, when the pings are not so very different. when most getting under 150ms and some using 300,400 or 500 ms its a hard work for the server to regulate this.
 
hey, didnt think that the ping of a player would affect server side.
what about a 200 ms limit? i dont want to put a limit of 150 because we have external-europe players like americans that forcefully have an high ping and if we put this limit we would cut all them out.
 
sometimes we have on server 1 a ping from 300. all ppl will get kicked. maybe a ping kicker 250 if its 1min
 
some screens, first only with some 200er pings, ingame was ok, than comes a gamer with over 700ms :) new record? never seen a ping over 700 ;-)

the all weapons server are alltimes not so laggy, different providers?

maybe is this an another option?
64 gamers, uploading they custom sprays and needed decals
sv_allowupload "0" - no clientupload for sprays to server
decalfrequency "1200" - 1 spray in 20 minutes more than enough?
mp_decals "10"

i thinked havok is activated
sv_turbophysics "1" to "0" ? - needed many power of the server, regular i thinked isnt possible to change

sorry only some options for finding a way...

hi i will try those specific cvars but i will not change turbophysics because it's very important for the gameplay :)

since me and rocky are against hpk we decided to install it anyway just to test. the limit is very high 250 but should do the job. let's see
 
let's see if it works, i think thats the problem why servers are laggy there comes many gamers with 200+ ping
 
removed already beacause the plugin, by checking player by player, made the server lagg more -.-
 
id suggest kick first and ban afterwards

first warn then kick (then ban) , but i didnt want to ban them cause i didnt know if its allowed or not?!?!
