Can you please add an option of extending the current map on the server during the voting stage? Sometimes 20 minutes feels too short, only 4 rounds if each played in full. Especially for the fun maps such as Cbble or Officeattack, which majority of players enjoy to play on. No reason to change to something else if the current map is fun and well liked. If playing the same map for too long is an issue, then only have "Extend Map" option once or twice during the voting stages, for the maximum 40-60 minute playtime before excluding it from the further voting availability.

Hey, there is already such an option. It's number six "Extend this map".

I play on a "Zombie Hunting by ElitE HunterZ |FastDL, SSD powered, HLstatsX|" server, and there is no option of extending the map in the voting selection. I took a screenshot today during the game and attached it to this message to show how it typically looks like.

Ay, i thought it has been changed on every server. We will take care of it.

Thank you!

has anything been done already about it?

// Number of extensions allowed each map.
// -
// Default: "0"
// Minimum: "0.000000"
sm_mapvote_extend "1"

Done.

Btw you have access to the file too phanty.

I think you should put "Extend this map" as the 1st voting option instead of the usual 6th. This will prevent a common issue of many maps winning the vote due to players blindly pressing the "1" key.

That would also cause maps to be extended because of people blindly pressing the 1 key. There are always 1 pushers, nothing we can do about that.

i saw a mapvoteplugin once which didnt contain 1, it started at 4 orso, maybe that would be a good idea

I dont think the problem is that people blindly press 1, but instead they press the first available option. So no matter if it starts at 1 or even 5, the first option will always be most likely to win

I agree. at i3D back when i was an head admin we implemented a vote system where you had to choose between 5 and 8. the result was simple: they pushed numbers randomly until the box disappeared.

I'm happy with the system we have now, i enabled the ability to see the current status of the vote in a box some months ago and i believe it's working already good, isn't it?
