Motivation
I’ve been thinking about applying for admin for a while now, since I believe I would really be a good addition to the team. Being friends with some admins and frequently talking to them, I have an approximate understanding about the duties and responsibilities you hold. I understand that it’s not always the best way to step in an argument and ban the first person I see as responsible or rule-breaking, but to hear them out first and listen to where the issue is, as it might only be a misunderstanding. I’d say I have a good sense of justice, and try to be as righteous and understanding as I can be, since fun and jokes is what makes most people here love these servers. I’ve played on GoFree servers actively for over a year now and would love to have a little more responsibility and help to maintain a positive environment on the servers.
I originally started on the surf servers, but recently I’ve been a lot more active on the bhop server. I see a good amount of unranked players join for their first time and I believe having an active, friendly guiding staff team would make a good impression and helps the community grow. I always have voice chat on, which means I am pretty much aware of everything that’s going on and am ready to intervene if a conversation goes into the wrong direction or a joke turns into something too serious.
I’m applying as admin for the bhop server, but I would be willing to occasionally help out on the surf servers. I feel like admins are really needed there, as the surf community on GoFree is bigger, which of course brings in lots of new faces that maybe haven’t acknowledged the rules yet. That being said, I want to emphasise that I treat every person with the same respect, whether they are playing here for the first time or have dozens of days of playtime. Since I can never really keep a steady sleep schedule, and it’s all over the place when I don’t have to go to school, I am open to respond to calladmin pings for NA as well as the EU servers.
Currently I am paying for a subscription of a private server, but that doesn’t stop me at all from being active on the public servers. I only use that server if I want to run maps for a very long time, without being stressed about other people spectating me or wanting to change maps.

Feel free to call me Kim, since my in-game name rost really doesn’t have a meaning. I’m 18, I currently live in Germany and I am graduating this year. I don’t plan on staying here since other countries and languages are much more interesting to me. I love getting to know other cultures, people and to travel, but the average night for me is pretty chill. I spend a couple hours bhopping or surfing, read a few pages of a good book and browse through Netflix or the internet. I’m a huge fan of movies. Ridley Scott, George Lucas, Spielberg, Tarantino… Of course those are the best and most popular, but I really can never get enough of their films and love talking about them.
I used to play tennis for a few years, but my lack of competitiveness stopped me from going to any serious matches, which is why I quit the lessons and only play for fun with my friends in summer. Although summer isn’t my favourite season, it’s definitely the best to do any sorts of activities and adventures, like going camping with a kayak or a bike or just going for a hike. I do need to have my own space though, and when I don’t feel like socialising very much I like to retreat by painting with either acrylics or watercolours.
I’m not a very outgoing person, but when people approach me, most of the times I am more than happy to get to know them or do something together. Ever since the whole covid mess started, I realised that I like to keep my group of friends rather small and instead value this group even more.
My dad and brother have definitely gotten me into games, and as so many other people, I started with Minecraft and the Lego Star Wars series. Slowly my interest has grown and I bought my own Playstation and fell in love with action adventure games and RPG’s. I could talk about the Uncharted series or Skyrim forever, I basically love everything with breathtaking graphics and amazing soundtracks.
On the weekends I work as a cashier and love that job. It’s certainly nothing that I want to do my whole life, but it’s a great way to socialise, to take my mind off of things and to get some food inspiration, since I really suck at cooking and I don’t plan on eating pasta and toast with eggs for the next 70 years.
